Almaarefa University Overview
Almaarefa University (UM) is a globally recognized educational institution that
values its strong local connections established since its inception. In the
academic year 2009–2010, Almaarefa University was established as the College of
Almaarefa for Science and Technology. Its headquarters was built in the
governorate of Diriyah due to its historical importance and relevance. At the
beginning of the 2014–2015 academic year, it was transformed into the Colleges
of Almaarefa for Science and Technology.
After being established as a unified academic institution, the esteemed Council
of Ministers decided in 1439 AH (2018) to convert it into a privately owned
university known as Almaarefa University. Since its inception, the university
has consistently delivered exceptional education across a wide range of
disciplines. Its academic programs are developed using a strategic framework
aligned with the latest advancements in education and research, and their
impact on society. As a result, the university has achieved local and
international academic accreditations, gained a strong presence in global
rankings, and demonstrated academic excellence that contributes to social
enrichment beyond local boundaries.

Available programmes
University information
- Obtaining a secondary school certificate (Natural Science) or its equivalent from a school inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or abroad.
- Exhibiting good conduct and behaviour.
- Should not be dismissed from another college or university due to disciplinary reasons.
- Passing any exam or interview required by the university for admission.
- Passing the medical test required by the university from an approved hospital.
- Should provide permission from his/her employer to continue as a full-time student if he/she is working.
- Satisfy any other requirements by the university that may be announced during the admission period.
- Pay non-refundable admission fee ( FEES PAGE ).
- Pay tuition fee ( FEES PAGE ) which is non-refundable when withdrawing from the university.
Note:
Admission to AlMaarefa university is very competitive. It is based on the admission criteria and the availability of seats.
Students who request course equivalency for what he/she has studied and passed are assessed as per the university’s by-laws.
The university consists of three faculties offering undergraduate degrees in the following areas of specialization :

Our Home
Diriyah –The Jewel of The Kingdom –Our home is the Diriyah city. We have two campuses in Diriyah,
Student Life: Students Clubs: Any group of students is entitled to apply to start a new student club that holds their interests, hobbies or talents together; provided that they meet all the conditions and requirements approved by the Student Activities Department.
This will allow more autonomy to students who will be obligated to meet these standards. Types of Clubs include:
- Specialized clubs: College of Medicine club, College of Pharmacy club, College of Applied sciences club.
- General clubs: Reading club, Integrity club.
- Students' initiatives' club: Almaarefa Experts.
Tuition fees
Admission fees
SAR 3000 nonrefundable admission fee is required for admission and pay a one-time only .
Annual and Semester tuition fees
Students are required to pay the required tuition fees according to the student's specialization as shown in the table below. Tuition fees are due and must be paid before the semester commencement date so that the student can register courses according to the study plan.
