The mission of the Emergency Medical Services Program is to prepare high caliber participants in knowledge-based society; and to motivate creativity, excellence in research, education, and community service in EMS.

Program Goals:

  • Prepare competent entry-level Paramedics able to perform basic and advanced skills related to assessment, stabilization and management of acutely ill and/ or injured patients in prehospital setting
  • Provide a positive Learning Environment to assure students’ academic achievement and success
  • Reflect professionalism, self-learning, and self-development, good communication skills, leadership, critical thinking, ethical attitude, and accept responsibility
  • Participate in health education activities related to illness and injury prevention & Advocate for individuals health needs and have influential role in its communities
  • Perform basic and advanced life support skills (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NLS, and PHTLS)
  • Value scientific research, evidence-based practice and quality assurance

Obtaining a secondary school certificate (Natural Science) or its equivalent from a school inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or abroad. Exhibiting good conduct and behavior. Should not be dismissed from another college or university due to disciplinary reasons. Passing any exam or interview required by the university for admission. Passing the medical test required by the university from an approved hospital. Should provide permission from his/her employer to continue as a fulltime student if he/she is working. Satisfy any other requirements by the university that may be announced during admission period. Pay non-refundable admission fee ( FEES PAGE ). Pay tuition fee ( FEES PAGE ) which is non-refundable when withdrawing from the university. Note that admission to AlMaarefa university is very competitive.  It is based on the admission criteria and the availability of seats.
