The Master in Accounting and Finance (Arabic) program aims to provide the graduate with critical knowledge and understanding of specialized theories and contemporary issues and methods in accounting, finance and scientific research to contribute effectively to the achievement of qualitative development at the professional and community levels in an environment characterized by rapid changes and uncertainty. It aims to prepare a graduate capable of applying contemporary theories, techniques and specialized scientific research methodologies, carrying out advanced studies to investigate the complex problems in the business environment relevant to accounting and finance and developing creative solutions for them. This program will develop the graduate’s skills in critical thinking and analysis of financial and nonfinancial information, interpretation and creative assessment of new issues and problems to help the businesses enterprises formulate and implement their strategies.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent from a University or College recognized by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The bachelor's degree programme should be in the same specialty as the master programme or a similar qualifying field according to the study plan; otherwise, the student should pass a number of remedial courses approved by the University and specified by the respective Department. Two recommendation letters are required. The applicant should have experience of not less than one year in a relevant professional field and also pass admission test and/or an interview to determine his/her academic level.

There are a number of undergraduate courses available at ASU:

 

Prospective undergraduate students are required to provide:

  • Original Certificate & Transcript of secondary school
  • Equivalency of non – Bahraini general secondary school certificate or private school’s certificate
  • A valid CPR copy
  • A valid passport copy
  • Health fitness certificate from one the centers approved by the Ministry of Health
  • 3 personal photos

 

Tuition fees at undergraduate level are the same for local and international students. Tuition is charged by credit hour which is 92.700 BD on average.

 Students usually need an average of 135 credits to graduate. However, programs hosted by London South Bank the average credit hour is 180 BD and the average credits needed to graduate is 150 Credits.

The average tuition per credit hour for postgraduate student at ASU is 144.200 BD and the average credits needed to graduate is 36 across most of the programs. 

 The university has established a student fund which supports the students who are facing financial constrains by paying a part of their fees.
