The Mechanical Engineering Program was the first engineering program offered at the university in AY 1971-1972, along with a BS in Electrical Engineering. The BSME Program obtained Level IV Phase 2 Re-Accredited Status from the Accrediting Agencies of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
