The BSEd is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to teach in their chosen area of specialization/major in the secondary level. It aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for secondary education. After successful completion of all academic requirements of the degree/program, graduates of BSEd should be able to practice the teaching profession in the Secondary level.

After successful completion of all academic requirements of the degree/program, graduates of BSEd should be able to practice the teaching profession in the Secondary level.
Admission Requirements
- Completion of any track or strand in Senior High School or enrolment in the same program, if not yet completed (open for all strands – BSEd Math and BSEd Science)
- Submission of certified copies of final grades from Grade 10 and Grade 11, with marks of at least 80% in Mathematics, Science and English subjects.
- Additional requirements for College of Teacher Education
3.1. Any track for BSEd Math and BSEd Science but no grade below 85%
3.2. Passed, based on the rating from the interview by the College
A foreign applicant who graduated from a high school abroad and has not enrolled in college may be admitted to the University provided that the following requirements are met: (1) completed secondary education from his country; (2) passing rate in a college qualifying national or international foreign-administered examination such as General Certificate of Education (GCE), the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or any equivalent examination:
- GCE: with a grade of E in other subjects covered in the GCE an two level A passes in the related subjects required in the course applied
- SAT: with minimum combined score of 1200 in Mathematics, Critical Reading and Writing sub-test areas.
