Admission Requirements

Students are admitted in any of the three semesters in a year. Admission to the MA program is selective. Admission forms are available in the admission office. All prospective students should submit completed application forms within the deadline for submission. To apply for admission, students must fulfill the criteria outlined below:

The minimum requirements for admission to MA in English program are as follows:

1. Minimum GPA of 2.50 in both SSC and HSC Examinations OR

2. Candidates must have passed University of London and Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level in at least five subjects and ‘A’ Level in at least two subjects. Only the best five subjects in ‘O’ Level and best two subjects in ‘A’ Level will be considered. Out of these seven subjects, a candidate must have at least 4Bs or GPA of 4.00 in the four subjects and 3 Cs or GPA of 3.5 in the remaining three subjects. (on the scale of =4, =2 and )

3. BA (Hons.) in English from public universities with a minimum 2nd class 4. BA in English from private universities with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
