The Department of Law of East West University started its journey from September 2014 with an aim of taking the lead in the region and creating country best lawyers. Initially 42 students have become part of this journey to fulfill that aim. The Department is keen to employ the leading researchers and practitioners whose skilful supervision will benefit the students in enriching their knowledge and practical skills.
The Department is making efforts to enrich the law library through stocking latest books written by different writers in every relevant subject and also enabling access to online law journals and e-Books. The students will get excellent library facilities for their research work, and students are actively guided in their research. They are always welcome to discuss their educational issues with the concerned course teacher.
During different periods of the course the leading lawyers of the country will be invited to share their court experience with the students and give their valuable suggestions. There will be seminars on different issues of law where leading academics and lawyers will be invited. The students will have opportunity to participate in debate and mooting competition.
The students will be well taken care of according to the reputation of the University. The students will be required to participate in different discussions to enhance their understanding of law and skill. Well performing students will receive scholarship according to the rules of the university

Admission Requirements
- Minimum GPA of 3.00 in both SSC and HSC Examinations. (Minimum GPA 2.40 in Diploma In Engineering under Bangladesh Technical Education Board). or
- Candidates must have passed University of London and Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level in at least five subjects and ‘A’ Level in at least two subjects. Only the best five subjects in ‘O’ Level and best two subjects in ‘A’ Level will be considered. Out of these seven subjects, a candidate must have at least 4B’s or GPA of 4.00 in the four subjects and 3 C’s or GPA of 3.5 in the remaining three subjects. (in the scale of =4, =2 and
- American High School Diploma, AND
- Acceptable EWU Admission Test Score.
- Total GPA of 5.00 in both SSC and HSC Examinations for the children of Freedom Fighter.
- The final selection of candidates for admission in the Undergraduate Programs at EWU will be based on the Admission Test scores obtained with 75% from admission test, 10% from SSC/O-level and 15% from HSC/A-level.
