The MSc in Cancer Biology at EUC is the first program of its kind in Cyprus.  Based on the latest developments in the field, the program provides students with an in-depth understanding of the complex mechanisms underlying cancer development.  Students are exposed to novel preventative, diagnostic and therapeutic approaches using new technologies to deliver personalized medical treatment to cancer patients.

The program is targeted to students with undergraduate degrees in biology, biomedical sciences, medicine, pharmacology, radiotherapy, nursing or other biology-oriented fields.  Chemistry, physics or computer science graduates with a biology background may apply.  Students are supported by faculty who are experts in their field, distinguished visiting professors from abroad and modern laboratory facilities on campus. Through the Erasmus+ program, students are able to participate in high-quality research projects and thesis work with collaborating laboratories abroad.

  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences, Medicine (M.D.), or a related Physical Sciences discipline with an adequate background in Biology*, from a recognized higher education institution.
  • Applicants are required to have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.50 or equivalent (Second Class Honours for UK universities or “Very Good” for Greek and Cypriot universities).
  • Proof of English language proficiency is required for admission to postgraduate programs. Applicants may satisfy this requirement through one of the following:
  • A secondary school leaving certificate from an institution where English is the language of instruction.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification completed at a recognized institution where English is the language of instruction.
  • An internationally recognized English language qualification aligned with CEFR Level B2 or equivalent.
  • The University reserves the right to conduct personal interviews as part of the admissions and selection process, where deemed necessary.
*Applicants with an insufficient Biology background may be required to successfully complete foundation courses in Biology (such as Introduction to Human Biology, Cell Biology, or Molecular Biology) prior to admission, subject to the decision of the Admissions Committee.
