Admission requirements

2.5+

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the university's Senate; OR
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 can be accepted subject to a minimum of FIVE (5) years of working experience in the related fields and rigorous internal assessment; OR
  • Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) in the field of Computing or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia must undergo appropriate prerequisite modules as determined by the university; OR
  • Candidates without a qualification in the related fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite modules as determined by the university and meet a minimum CGPA of 2.00 with minimum of FIVE (5) years of working experience in the related fields, and rigorous internal assessment*.
Notes:
  1. For candidates who have not passed the rigorous internal assessment, the university can determine for the candidate to be re-assessed for entry to the programme to pass preparatory modules as determined by the university before entering the programme, and subject to the university's Senate / Academic Board’s approval.
  2. *Rigorous internal assessment and their working experiences will determine the appropriate prerequisite modules required for candidates. If the assessment fulfils the requirements, candidates can be exempted from taking the prerequisite modules.
