Doctor of Economics of Tropical Marine Resources program aims to become a study program that provides education based on the orientation of fisheries and marine resource management that produces optimal and sustainable economic benefits for the prosperity and welfare of the people. The mission of the master program is to develop human resources who master resource economic theories who are skilled in studying socio-economic problems in optimal and dynamic use of fisheries and marine resources. Bachelor’s Degree in IPB University is a four-year program. Since 2005, IPB University has offered the major-minor curriculum that allows students to choose from more than 500 combinations of competencies. This opportunity allows scholars of IPB University to obtain double competencies, even a double degree to enable them to compete in the job market. Their competencies are not limited to the activities of on-farm agriculture, but also off-farm agricultural activities which cover, among others, agribusiness and agro-industry.
