Istanbul Yeni Yuzyil University

Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University is a higher education institution located in Istanbul, the vibrant city of Turkey, with its modern understanding of education and innovative approach. Founded in 2009, the university aims to provide its students with quality education and rich academic background and to train them as professionals who can contribute to society at international standards.

It offers 28 departments across 11 faculties, 25 programs in 2 vocational schools, and 23 master’s and 2 doctoral programs. The primary language of instruction is Turkish, with exceptions for English-based programs. Students can also opt for a double major or minor. Additionally, students can optionally study the English Preparatory Program. The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema of the Faculty of Communication received accreditation in the 2023-2024 academic year. Our Faculty of Communication Radio, Television and Cinema department has been accredited for five years starting from 2022-2023.

By fulfilling the necessary conditions, students may have the opportunity to receive a double diploma by participating in a Double Major (DMP) program in a faculty or department other than their department of education. If they wish, our students can also obtain a certificate in a second field by participating in the "Minor" Program, which increases their knowledge in another department or program, by meeting the necessary conditions.

Our university received the Erasmus Charter in the first year of its establishment. Therefore, our students have the opportunity to study for one or two semesters in many European countries within the framework of the Erasmus Program during their undergraduate education. Likewise, our academics and administrative staff can benefit from this program and represent our University and our country abroad at the international level, give lectures and exchanging information. There are student clubs at our university, the number of which has increased and diversified, depending on the interests of the students, starting from their first year

On the main Campus, there is the "Life Sciences and Technologies Laboratory" where projects related to "Life Sciences" such as Medicine, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biomedical Engineering, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Pharmacy are studied.

Our university's Faculty of Dentistry, as a separate campus, "Faculty of Dentistry and Hospital", provides education, training and dental health services in Sütlüce - Halıcıoğlu on the European side of Istanbul.

Our other campus, Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University Gaziosmanpaşa Hospital, where the Faculty of Medicine is located, is also located in the Gaziosmanpaşa district on the European side of Istanbul. On this campus, which is connected to the university's Gaziosmanpaşa Hospital, medical education and training, especially 3rd, 4th, 5th grade education and training, and intern applications are carried out. - The hospital was accredited by the "Joint Commission International" organization in 2017 and 2020. 

Our newest campus is the “Bayrampaşa Campus” located in the Bayrampaşa district of Istanbul. Social and Humanities students and Law Faculty students will receive education on this campus.

Our Career Development Center supports our students in their career paths, increasing their self-awareness and helping them find the most suitable choices in line with the skills, abilities and competencies they will acquire.   In addition, our Career Center plans a wide range of activities to assist all our students in their internship and job searches and to provide all kinds of support to our graduate students regarding their career paths

The Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit aims to facilitate the adaptation of students enrolled in associate, undergraduate and graduate programs to university life, increase their level of well-being, support their individual, social and academic development, resolve cognitive conflicts and provide healthy communication skills that are compatible with the environment, provide lifelong learning habits and thus help individuals realize themselves. 

Istanbul is the most populous city in Turkey with a population approaching 18 million. Since there are different public vehicles such as metro, metrobus, bus, tram and ferry, we have prepared a small guide for those who come to Istanbul to study at university.

The disabled student counselling and coordination unit carries out work to ensure that our students can move comfortably within our campuses and provide them with a barrier-free life.
