The Psychology Department at Yeni Yüzyıl University offers a comprehensive program aligned with Bologna criteria, encompassing both theoretical and applied aspects of psychology. Our four-year curriculum is delivered in Turkish. During their first year, students take foundational social science courses such as Sociology, Anthropology, Philosophy, and the Principles and History of Atatürk's Reforms. This foundation allows students to integrate their psychology knowledge with insights from other social sciences, fostering a holistic and interdisciplinary perspective. Consequently, students develop analytical and synthetic skills to evaluate human-related knowledge from multiple angles.
In the later stages of the program, students have the opportunity to specialize in various subfields of psychology, including Clinical, Developmental, Industrial and Organizational, Social, Health, Learning, Forensic, Sports, Educational Psychology, and Neuropsychology. While gaining theoretical and professional expertise through core psychology courses, students also enhance their knowledge through elective courses. These include in-department electives tailored to faculty members' areas of expertise and cross-disciplinary electives from other fields. Moreover, courses such as Statistics and Research Methods provide students with a solid foundation in scientific methodology and ethical principles.
