This course will provide you with knowledge of the underlying principles of AI, machine learning, optimisation techniques and deep learning as well as practical experience of the tools and methods used for applied AI.

Academic experts with industry experience will introduce you to a broad range of subjects including Mobile Application Development, Software Development, Database Systems, AI and Machine Learning, DevOps and MLOps, and AI and Security.

You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of computing and AI and the ways in which computers work and algorithms are developed. You’ll explore some of the current engineering, industrial and commercial applications of AI and use contemporary research to help you identify gaps in the market and develop innovative solutions.

This degree makes extensive use of large cohorts of data (big data) and the application of AI, data science and computational and mathematical modelling. You’ll learn how to analyse data and provide data-driven insight and information for enhanced decision-making.

You’ll apply your knowledge through hands-on projects and assignments that emphasise the practical, real-world applications of AI. You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in industry led events allowing you to gain invaluable, relevant experience.

You’ll graduate with the hard and transferable skills needed for a career in computer science or AI, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving and digital literacy, alongside the necessary technical, practical programming skills.
