Our Music Technology and Production (including foundation year) BSc (Hons) degree is a four-year course with a built-in foundation year. The course is a great fit if you want to study Music Technology and Production at undergraduate level, but don’t yet meet the entry requirements for the traditional three-year course.

Our students develop their skills by working towards a range of creative and practical projects, building a portfolio of music and audio work in a broad range of fields, guided by teaching staff with a wealth of music industry experience.

In addition to the University's standard entry requirements, you should have:

  • at least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma)
  • English Language GCSE at grade C (grade 4) or above (or equivalent eg Functional Skills at Level 2)
We encourage applications from International/EU students with equivalent qualifications.

We also accept mature students with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Suitable applicants living in the UK may be invited to a portfolio interview. Applicants living outside the UK may be required to submit a small portfolio of works via email.

To study a degree at London Met, you must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. If you require a Tier 4 student visa you may need to provide the results of a Secure English Language Test (SELT) such as Academic IELTS.
