Overview

Located in the heart of Rome, LUISS specializes in the Social Sciences to educate over 9,000 students from around the world. Since its founding, LUISS has developed privileged partnerships with the business community – through its relationship with Confindustria, the largest Italian industry association – as well as with the legal practice, governmental institutions, and civil society.

The LUISS educational model combines academic rigor with practical relevance. LUISS utilizes three approaches in the design and the development of its programs:

  • research-led: faculty members are experts of and actively engaged in their research areas
  • experience-based: LUISS relies on a select pool of top executives and chartered consultants to teach topics that they experience in their day-to-day work
  • problem-driven: programs require student to engage in projects and research, in which they are expected to develop solutions to real-world problems.


LUISS also offers students a variety of learning opportunities to develop and refine soft skills, such as leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, relational abilities, ethics, responsibility and sustainability. With over 200 international academic partnerships, LUISS offers double degrees with international universities in Europe, North America, and East Asia.

LUISS University welcomes applications from students of diverse backgrounds. Last year, 32 different nationalities were represented in LUISS Business School.
To be eligible for undergraduate study at LUISS University, you’ll need to sit the SAT Reasoning Test or ACT Test, and also submit a secondary school or high school transcript, a CV, a cover letter and a reference from a teacher.

Applications are accepted a rolling basis from October 2017 until May 2018. To apply, register online and apply with the documents above. You will hear back from the university with an outcome within six weeks.

At postgraduate level, you’ll be asked to submit a GMAT or GRE certificate, an undergraduate degree certificate or transcript, a secondary school diploma, a CV, cover letter, reference and proof of proficiency in English (such as the TOEFL or IELTS)
