Electives: The Weekend MBA program allows you to gain a deeper understanding of finance with electives in M&A and Restructuring, Private Equity and Venture Capital, Risk Hedging & Investor Relations.
Distinguishing Features:
1. Leadership Journey: We believe leadership is not something that can be simply contained in one MBA course. This MBA program was designed so that each of the six modules opens up with a different leadership course, helping students explore different perspectives on what it means to lead.
As part of this leadership journey the students have the opportunity to participate in two outdoor workshops, where they should develop their leadership skills by being exposed to challenging conditions.
- Leadership workshop with the Luxembourgish Army: Under the supervision of the Luxembourgish Army general staff, students will complete a two day workshop in order to improve their team leadership skills in a challenging environment.
- Regatta Race Competition: MBA students can participate in a regatta race competition at the Belgian Coast. Throughout this experience, our participants learn how to communicate a clear vision and work as a team under the pressure of a sailing competition in a completely unknown and challenging environment.
2. Consulting Project: The Weekend MBA concludes with a consulting project whereby groups of students work on solving real-life issues for real companies operating in Luxembourg or abroad. This project required students to combine many previously-learned concepts and apply them in practice while working as a team. The Consulting Project is lead and overseen by two LSB faculty members.
3. Mentorship Program: The Mentorship Program is a unique opportunity for new participants to be onboarded by current MBA students. The new students will receive coaching and guidance in order to make the transition smoother and get advice on best practices to follow the MBA program. This is also a great opportunity to start expanding your network and making new connections outside your cohort!
4. International Study Trips: Past and upcoming trips include Singapore, Dubai and New York among others.

Master's Programs in Business at Luxembourg School of Business (LSB)
Luxembourg School of Business (LSB) equips ambitious students with the knowledge and skills to thrive in today's dynamic business environment. LSB offers two distinct Master's programs, each catering to specific career aspirations: The Master in Management (MiM) and the Master in International Finance (MiF) (launching September 2024).
Master in Management (MiM):
Designed for recent graduates from any academic discipline, the 24-month MiM program provides a comprehensive foundation in business and management principles. Delivered entirely in English, the program offers a flexible study model, allowing students to choose between a full-time or part-time format (3 Day Study Model) to accommodate work commitments.
Curriculum:
The first year focuses on core business disciplines like accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, and project management. This strong foundation prepares students for success in a variety of business functions. In the second year, students delve deeper into a chosen specialization, allowing them to tailor their studies to their career goals. Specialization options include:
Practical Application and Employability:
The MiM program emphasizes practical application, ensuring graduates are job-ready upon completion. A cornerstone of the program is the 6-month paid internship, which allows students to gain valuable real-world experience and establish professional networks in Luxembourg's thriving business community. The curriculum itself is designed with a project-based approach, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Additionally, dedicated career workshops equip students with essential job search and interview skills, maximizing their employability potential.
Benefits for Students:
Master in International Finance (MiF):
Launching in September 2024, the MiF program provides a specialized and intensive education in international finance. This 2-year, full-time program is designed for students seeking careers in the dynamic world of global finance.
Curriculum:
Building upon a strong foundation in financial theory, the MiF program emphasizes real-world application and industry relevance. Students gain in-depth knowledge of corporate finance, capital markets, derivatives, investment strategies, and sustainable finance – a rapidly growing area of expertise. The curriculum integrates regular interaction with key industry players, ensuring students understand the practical applications of financial theory. Real-World Focus and Career Preparation:
The MiF program equips students with the skills and experience necessary to excel in the competitive world of international finance. A mandatory 6-month internship allows students to put their theoretical knowledge into practice in a professional setting, either domestically or internationally. The curriculum culminates in a Master Thesis, providing students with the opportunity to conduct in-depth research on a specific topic within the field of finance.
