Dual PhD degree programme
Outstanding students may choose to participate in the dual PhD degree programme jointly offered by Macao Polytechnic University and University of Bologna / University of Coimbra. Qualified students will have at least one-year study in University of Bologna / University of Coimbra. Having completed the programme and fulfilled the graduation requirements, the graduates will be awarded two doctoral degrees respectively by MPU and University of Bologna / University of Coimbra.
*Transportation, accommodation, insurance, living expenses and other expenses incurred during the research practice are to be borne by the student. Students are responsible for arranging their own accommodation.

Admission Requirements
The entry requirements are defined in the University’s Academic Regulations Governing Doctoral Degree Programmes. An applicant shall be considered for admission to a doctoral degree programme of MPU if s/he:
holds: (i) a Master’s degree or the equivalent, or (ii) a Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent, with ‘excellent’ academic performance from an accredited higher education institution;
fulfils other admission criteria prescribed by the programme of study concerned; and
satisfies the examiner(s) in an interview (if required).

Curriculum vitae [in English, including the intention for PhD study, the topic of master's thesis or report, and the list of Scopus indexed research papers being published or accepted (if any) as well as the contribution in each research paper];
Research proposal (in English); and
Full text of research papers listed in CV (if any; notification of acceptance should be included if the paper has not yet been published)
