The MDS in Periodontology is a three-year full-time postgraduate program designed to develop advanced clinical and academic expertise in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting the supporting structures of the teeth. The program equips students with the skills to manage periodontal health, perform regenerative and surgical procedures, and contribute to long-term oral rehabilitation and aesthetics. It also focuses on maintenance therapy and periodontal plastic surgery to improve both function and appearance.      Students gain in-depth knowledge of the etiology, clinical presentation, and differential diagnosis of periodontal diseases. Emphasis is placed on understanding the biochemical, microbiological, and immunological aspects of periodontal pathology to guide evidence-based treatment planning. Through hands-on training and exposure to advanced techniques, graduates are prepared to manage complex periodontal cases and contribute to ongoing research and innovation in oral health care.

Admission Requirements

The candidate has to make an application to the University with the following documents along with the prescribed fee:     BDS Pass / Degree certificate issued by the University.     Marks cards of all the university examinations passed (I to IV BDS year course).    Attempt Certificate issued by the Principal.      Completion of rotary internship certificate from a recognized college.    Registration by any State Dental Council or dental council of India.     Proof of SC / ST or Category I, as the case may be.
