This Department covers various aspects of science dealing with marine biological resources and their relationship with the environment. The focus in this program includes: Fisheries Biology and Management: Focusing on assessment of biological resources in order to sustain the fisheries management. To expand our knowledge on biology of fisheries targeted species and to improve our ability in stock assessment to develop and manage sustainable fisheries management with responsible fishing technology; Environmental Biology and Conserving Biodiversity: Concentrating on the interrelationship between biodiversity and marine environment. Through our understanding of the environmental impact on marine resources and biodiversity to assess marine biological resources and conserve biodiversity.
