The faculty is increasingly involved in campus-wide and nation-wide interdisciplinary research and teaching activities. Our goals are: to educate students with theories of computer science, computerized application systems, and computer network environments; to provide advanced training in programming capabilities, and to design aspects on computer systems and other automated application systems; to combine theoretical models with practical application systems; and to support the teaching and interdisciplinary researches of NTOU. The Master Program in Computer Science and Engineering is an academic program allows participants to obtain a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2 years. The purpose of this program is to provide advanced training in computer science and engineering for students to acquire dominant positions in industries and academia. Participants are required to take courses in three major areas --- Theory, Systems, and Applications. The student must finish a competent thesis under the supervision of one of the department faculty member.
