About our Early Childhood and Special Education Program Niagara University's College of Education offers a master of science in education, early childhood education and special education that leads to initial and professional New York state teacher certifications in both early childhood education (birth through grade 2) and students with disabilities (birth through grade 2). Graduates of the program will be able to serve as teachers, leaders and directors of early childhood programs, development specialists, teacher educators, etc., in a variety of early childhood and educational settings. Admission Requirements

If you have successfully completed a degree equivalent to the baccalaureate degree in the United States, you are considered a graduate applicant at NU. Other English Language requirements: A TOEFL score of at least 550 (paper exam) is required for admission. Students may take the TOEFL PBT (at least 550 score) until it is discontinued in their area and submit the scores for two years after the test date. If you attend high school where courses are taught in English, an SAT may be submitted in place of the TOEFL or IELTS.
