Movement involves more than choreography, performance, and production. Dance also has a history, a place in contemporary culture, and specific methods for achieving excellence. What you'll study: Styles of dance are like different languages that require time to acquire. Through intensive dance laboratories, you'll explore forms ranging from classical to jazz to modern. A bachelor of arts in dance also enables you to develop the technical skills to produce an original show. The NSU Dance ensemble offers additional opportunities to perform, while master classes and visiting professionals inspire you to explore new modes of communication through movement. Participate in the annual Season of the Arts to perform original choreography in a variety of styles.
