The Department of Classics at Queen’s University boasts a proud tradition of over 170 continuous years of instruction in Greek and Latin. Faculty members have expertise in Greek and Roman archaeology, history, ancient science, and language and literature so your research opportunities are vast and varied. Our graduate program will further enhance your passion for the ancient world and provide global opportunities for field experience at archaeological sites. As a small department that fosters congenial working relations, our students receive individual attention and support and are provided with many opportunities to engage fully in class discussions and mini-conferences.
