Students will learn how to make investment decisions and manage real money with student-run investment programs like IMPACT and Venture Grade. In addition, students can join a worldwide network of tens of thousands of Saint Mary's University and Sobey School alumni from around the world. Students can apply what they have learn to real business challenges through case competitions, co-op placements, volunteer opportunities, and more. Accounting at the Sobey School of Business is tailored to meet the requirements of the newly merged Canadian CPA designation. Accounting students may volunteer with Revenue Canada’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, compete in business competitions, take part in Saint Mary’s and ICBC case competitions and plan and host the Accounting Society’s Annual Etiquette Dinner.
