Having established strong industry credentials as a cradle of exceptional graduate designers, SID is now launching its Master of Design (M. Des) in the field of User Experience Design. This programme is a two years duration, 80 credits post-graduate degree offered by SID and the degree is awarded by the Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune; established under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956 vide notification No. 9-12/2001-U.3 dated 10th November 2006 of UGC, Government of India.
 
This programme is aimed for:
 
Those seeking professional knowledge in the planning and design of new communications, products, services, environments and systems. Those focused on observing and understanding users in specific contexts, analyzing complex information, developing and exploring alternative solutions, and prototyping future innovations. Those wishing to acquire integrated and interdisciplinary design education in the domain of UX/UI. This programme is also suitable for working professionals wishing to enter the field of UX and UI provided they meet the eligibility conditions.  
Mode of Programme Delivery:
 
Being focused on working professionals and young designers who wish to enter the field of UX/UI, classes for the M.Des programme shall be held in a hybrid mode – both online and offline. Some classes and faculty interactions shall be scheduled over weekends and also in the evenings.

Admission Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 4-year duration in any specialization, after 12th standard or equivalent to the 12th standard from any university or institute recognised by law in India.
OR
Full-time Diploma of minimum 4-year duration in Design/Fine Arts/Applied Arts/ Architecture, after 12th standard or equivalent to 12th standard, from any university or institute recognised by law in India.
With a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes).
