This Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Industry (with Foundation Year) degree includes an integrated foundation year for those who do not have the appropriate subjects and/or grades for direct entry to year 1 of the degree. The foundation year helps students to develop their knowledge in mathematics and other important subjects to enable students to proceed confidently through the remainder of the programme. This programme can also serve as an alternative route into higher education for those who hold non-standard qualifications or have been away from education for some time. Electronic intelligence is found in virtually all household and industrial equipment. Modern life relies heavily on electrics and electronics, which means electrical and electronic engineering graduates are in great demand. This course is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partly meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer.
