This curriculum equips those following the adult nursing degree course with the knowledge and skills required to do this, and to develop a leadership role within the health and social care team. Students will care for adult patients who may have physical, emotional and social care needs, in a range of hospital and community settings. This will allow students to develop emotional intelligence, clinical decision-making and interpersonal skills, and their ability to provide high-quality person-centred compassionate nursing in a safe and caring environment. On successful completion of the course students will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council on the nurses' part of the Professional Register (Adult Nursing).
