The accounting profession plays a key role in ensuring realistic business plans and providing meaningful analysis for making informed decisions. In the Business Analysis and Control track of MSc Accountancy and Control, you will tackle these core issues and develop the expertise needed to lead organizations to success. Our program prepares you for a promising career in business, wherever your Master’s degree takes you.

The Master's program offers you in-depth knowledge in leading international accounting standards, forecasting a firm's value and executing management control. In this track, you will learn to meet management's information needs, ensuring the integrity and quality of data for informed decision-making. You will develop skills in providing timely financial analysis, recommendations, and becoming the business partner for executives. Important topics such as business performance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and data-driven solutions are covered in the program.

  • Stepping stone to the Post-Master Accountancy, European Post-Master Accountancy and the Post-Master's program Executive Master of Finance and Control.
  • Apply the latest academic knowledge in auditing to real-life cases, using up-to-date material, assignments, and discussions with your teacher and your classmates.
  • Reinvented Master Thesis. Instead of one extensive document, our Master File Accountancy consists of three distinct parts with different learning goals:

- a Business Application in which academic research is used to give advice on a real-life company problem;

- a Replication Study that focuses on the collection and analysis of data;

- a Research Note in which students perform their own academic research study.

A solid basis in the following areas is required in order for you to be eligible for the Master's program in Accountancy: Accounting (12 ECTS); Finance (12 ECTS); Economics, Management, or Marketing (12 ECTS); Mathematics and Statistics (18 ECTS); and Academic Training (24 ECTS). Academic training means courses / experience in research skills and an academic way of working. E.g., if you have written a thesis or have done a research project this will count as academic training.
