The Department of PM conducts educational activities for the preparation of bachelors in the main educational program "Electric drive and automation" of the direction 13.03.02 "Electric power and electrical engineering" in full-time education. Electric drive (abbreviated as electric drive, EP) is a controlled electromechanical system designed to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy and back to control this process. A modern electric drive is a set of many electric machines, apparatus and control systems for them. It is the main consumer of electrical energy (up to 60%) and the main source of mechanical energy in industry. Fundamental training in the natural sciences, humanities and socio-economic disciplines, aimed at the formation of universal and general professional competencies, is combined with a deep study of applied disciplines aimed at the formation of professional competencies associated with labor actions of a professional standard. The department conducts laboratory and practical classes in specially equipped rooms.
