The necessity to preserve the earth, and guarantee a strong economy, for current and future generations is one of the main goals led by the European Commission. Specifically, the European Union is promoting the "Green Deal" or Green Pact which points out the need to advance in the transition of the current production model based on a Linear Economy to a Circular model. This transition demands innovative engineering solutions that require a new way of thinking. Thus, Circular Engineering could be considered as a new branch of engineering dedicated to sustainable production, energy efficiency and eco-design, and is based on feedback and minimization of environmental impact. Students will acquire knowledge of the design of environmentally sustainable industrial processes, selection of circular materials and energy efficiency, according to the most demanding and sensitive economic criteria and legislation regarding environmental and sustainability problems, being able to make decisions according to design criteria, properties and costs. This master's degree has the support of some of the most important companies and institutions in the country such as Coca-Cola Europe, Acciona, Recyclia, the Circular Economy Foundation or the Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Industriales de Madrid.
