In its current guise, the Master’s degree in Legal Practice has developed in response to the requirements of the Law 34/2006 of 30 October regulating access to the professions of lawyer and court procedural representative (procurador), a legal reform that was taken as an opportunity to structure a postgraduate program that will improve training of law graduates thus facilitating access to the job market. Furthermore, the Master in International Advocacy which is offered in bilingual form (taught jointly in Spanish and English) will train professionals in transnational practice of law, and thus with capacity and the tools to address the situations in a global environment. The Master in International Advocacy is inspired by an approach to transnational legal education that puts future professionals among the best trained to face the demanding context of legal globalization. It does so through a methodology that combines the soft skills to acquire the tools necessary for international legal practice, and which go beyond traditional legal disciplines, as well as an eminently practical training in the areas of intensification so designed.
