The Doctor in Anthropology aims to produce a professional Doctor of Anthropology and have a strong moral commitment and responsibility in engineering the development of marine culture in Indonesia, as well as playing a role in solving socio-economic problems of marine communities and the marine environment. The mission of this program includes: producing graduates who are able to master, develop, and apply socio-cultural theories and methodologies in studying the dynamic processes of socio-cultural life in all fields, including society and maritime culture, as well as solving problems that arise; producing graduates who are able to master and develop socio-cultural theories and methodologies in the study of the phenomena of multicultural community life, both in local and national contexts as well as regional and international contexts; AND producing a Doctor of Anthropology who has a vision of the realization of a civil society order with a civilization that is built on the foundation of basic human and divine values ​​(morals, ethics, honesty, sincerity, and faith).
