The realization of sustainable agriculture is a challenge in the industrial revolution 4.0. On the one hand, Indonesian agriculture must side with the existence of farm households living in non-capitalist production systems, on the other hand, capitalistic production systems continue to penetrate the landscape of the Indonesian Maritime Continent. In this context, knowledge power is needed that can maintain the coexistence of capitalistic and non-capitalist agriculture. The Doctoral Study Program (S3) in Agricultural Sciences at the Graduate School (SPS) of Hasanuddin University (Unhas) is here to answer this need. This study program uses a multidisciplinary approach in seeing the reality of agriculture for sustainability.
