Working with Children, Young People & Families (WBIS) (Shrewsbury)

The course has been designed to meet the learning and professional development needs for a growing variety of practitioners who work with and support children, young people and their families. The modules reflect changes in society as well as the work of services for children and young people and families. The course is structured around the common issues, concerns and responsibilities of practitioners. It aims to support practitioners in developing their use of work-based learning to develop an informed, interdisciplinary and evidence-based approach to their work. This course at University Centre Shrewsbury (UCS) is aimed at those with experience, and who will be continuing to work with children, young people and families whilst studying. Adult/mature students will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience with them to share. Taught work-related modules provide specific subject input in key areas of your interest, responsibility and practice; assessment and negotiated modules focus on learning opportunities in your current and previous work experience.
