The Master of Music Education online program is designed for currently certified music teachers and/or experienced classroom music teachers who wish to further develop their teaching and research expertise.  With a choice of emphasis on general, choral, or instrumental music, the Master of Music Education (MMEd) prepares teachers to assume academic leadership roles in curriculum design, mentorship, and research. Beginning matriculation in the summer, the program may be completed in one year and two months, which includes two full summer sessions, with some courses taken during the academic year. Delivery may include but not be limited to text, images, audio, video, multimedia, and segmented lessons with clear and aligned objectives and assignments. Correspondence includes interactive discussion, video conferencing, and seminars to design and share innovative teaching strategies with peers. Students are granted the same access to online resources, library services, and technical support as all enrolled University of Georgia students, faculty, and staff.
