About University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan

Journalism and Mass Communications University of Uzbekistan is a basic scientific, educational, innovative and cultural institution, one of the few independent centers in the world in the field of training journalists and conducting scientific research in the media space.

The university was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 24, 2018, and despite its short history, offers promising and required curricula for bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs.

The University conducts its activities on the basis of national and international best practices in order to meet the intellectual, cultural and social needs of society and the state for sustainable development.

The core of the University is the academic community - an intellectual union of professors, researchers, students and doctoral students.

The quality of education is ensured by the high qualification of the teaching staff, including academicians, members of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Doctors of Sciences and Doctors of Philosophy. Most of the University staff are engaged in research and innovation activities to solve the most pressing problems of science in the field of media space and building a free democratic society.

The process of training journalistsis aimed at training competent specialists of a new formation who are able to professionally understand trends, quickly and objectively describe and reflect events occurring in the world and society, at the same time program, visualize and communicate with the audience, have the skills of a manager and a marketer.

Education at the University is carried out in three languages (in Uzbek, Russian and English).

The educational system of the University is active and controversial, advanced pedagogical technologies and modern teaching methods are widely used.
