As an English major, your study of language and literature will lead to a better understanding of our world. You'll explore the properties and power of language through courses in the three genres of poetry, drama and prose from the British, American and Canadian traditions. You may also develop your skills in creative writing, select from special topics such as tragedy, comedy and myth, or delve into the life and works of a major author. As an Education major a student develops a strong knowledge base in the subject area they intend to teach.
