This dedicated MSc Mental Health Psychology programme will help guide your career into the field providing you with the key knowledge and foundations of general psychology and key areas of mental health. You will be able to evaluate patterns in behaviour and psychological functioning to help recognise the best psychological approaches in relation to these issues.
This programme will provide you with the knowledge required to understand the fundamentals of therapeutic interventions such as counselling and the role and effect therapy has on individuals, whilst examining the practical, theoretical and ethical issues of various methodologies in mental health psychology.

You will also evaluate and develop an awareness of the ethical concerns related to mental health psychology and the local and global institutional procedures for obtaining ethical approval mainly for research and study purposes.

Applicants should possess either:  A minimum of a 2:1 class degree in psychology, equivalent to a UK bachelor's degree. All applicants must provide evidence that they have an English language ability equivalent to an IELTS (academic) score of 7.0.
