Physical Sciences entry route leading to BSc (Hons) (4 year route including a Foundation Year at Carmel College)

This programme offers a four-year route to the BSc (Hons) degree programmes offered by the Department of Physics. You follow the Foundation Year at Carmel College, St Helens, about nine miles away from the main University campus. It offers small class sizes and high academic standards. You then opt to follow any of the Physics programmes. Explore and apply fundamental principles that underpin modern physics, from electrodynamics and semiconductors to the startling conclusions of relativity and quantum mechanics. Our flexible programmes allow students to transfer up to the end of Year Two between any of the physics programmes.
