The University of Liverpool is one of the UK’s leading research institutions, offering undergraduate provision across three Faculties: Health and Life Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences and Science and Engineering. There are particular strengths across the professions, such as Architecture, Law, Engineering and programmes offered by the Management School (including Accountancy, Business Management, Marketing and Economics), as well as offering provision across the clinical professions (Medicine, Dentistry, Health Science and Veterinary Science). Teaching is research-led, and the University is globally recognised for its research in personalised health, infectious disease, advanced materials, digital, heritage and "starting well, living well, ageing well", where the University's work is helping to address global challenges. The University has a partner institution in China, XJTLU, and there are many opportunities for its undergraduate students to spend time at XJTLU as part of their degree. The University has a strong "study abroad" offering and encourages students to take advantage of this during their time at Liverpool. There are many opportunities to combine subjects within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, including options to study a language as part of your degree.
