The subject Horticulture deals with the production, improvement and utilization of fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants. Presently horticulture is an important industry. With the foundation of University College of Agriculture at Rawalakot as a sub campus of University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in 1980, since then Department of Horticulture is playing a key role in study and research. PhD programme has also been initiated in the Department since 2012 and presently number of PhD scholars are perusing their degree programmes.
