University of Poonch Rawalakot (UPR) offers 36
undergraduate majors across various disciplines. A few selections of the

§ Plant Breeding and Molecular Genetics
UPR strives to offer affordable
education to all the students enrolled at its campuses, with special emphasis on
students facing financial hardship and economic vulnerability. Students are
offered free transportation and free indoor medical services to reduce
socioeconomic inequalities to ensure that they complete their university
education without any constraints. During the financial year (2021), UPR
offered financial assistance to PKRs.142.40 million to 37.05 % coverage of the total
university intake. There are many designated scholarships for needy students,
i.e., Ehsaas Scholarships, HEC Need Based, the Punjab Educational Endowment
fund (PEEF) Scholarships, HBL Platinum Scholarships, and Sudhan Education
Scholarships. The university awards its scholarships to bottom-household income
students under these schemes.
Overall, the UPR is committed to quality
undergraduate education through innovation and expansion of research by
integrating it into the curriculum to help and support the sustainability of
communities and the environment.
