Become an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and join a rewarding career in high demand.

As a qualified Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), you’ll play a vital role in improving people’s quality of life by empowering people to use exercise to prevent and manage a wide range of conditions.

These conditions include injuries from falls, workplace or sport; chronic and complex health conditions such as cardiovascular and metabolic diseases and cancer; and physical, sensory, cognitive or psychosocial disability.

You’ll also provide expert guidance, education and support to help people optimise health and wellbeing through a physically active lifestyle.

The practical placements in the Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) will help you develop and refine your clinical skills. You'll gain experience in diverse work settings with various clients and healthcare professionals, enhancing your employability.

As a graduate, you can gain accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) as both an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) and Accredited Exercise Scientist.

AEP services are recognised and covered by Medicare and most private health insurers, reinforcing their important role in healthcare and rehabilitation.

With the opportunities created by the National Disability Insurance Scheme and Brisbane's upcoming 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, there’s never been a more exciting time to join the profession.
