The University has invested heavily in new buildings and facilities, totaling more than $400 million, to make sure students learn in an exciting, innovative environment.  The University opened Pridham Hall, a brand-new sports, cultural and recreation complex located in the Adelaide CBD in 2018. Pridham Hall is the new heart of the University and hosts graduations, functions, sporting events and more. The $247 million University of South Australia Cancer Research Institute also opened its doors in 2018, providing spaces to explore new opportunities for research, teaching and community engagement. The building is also home to MOD, a future-focused museum, exploring science, art and innovation.

Check entry requirements

Make sure you are aware of entry requirements for the University as well as individual program requirements.

Undergraduate – you must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 program or an equivalent program in your home country or a recognised Pathway or Foundation Studies Program.
If you are an international student studying Year 12 in Australia you need to apply via the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC).
Postgraduate – at a minimum you must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree, to the required standard, from a recognised higher institution in Australian or the international equivalent and/or the equivalent professional work experience. The University offers both coursework and research degrees.

Important information


Your application should reach the University at least two months before you wish to commence your studies. If you wish to start study at the beginning of the year (in February) you must get your application to us by 1 December, otherwise we can not guarantee that an offer will be made to you in time.
