Admission Requirements
- Completed university bachelor’s degree studies in the life sciences field group, physics and chemistry of the physical sciences field group or the psychology field of the social sciences field group.
- Scientific research bachelor thesis or no less than 20 ECTS credits in a practical work scientific laboratory.
- Candidates shall possess a bachelor studies cumulative grade point average of no less than 70 per cent to be admitted.
- The candidates shall submit: a motivational letter and one scientific recommendation.
- The motivational interview is organised remotely, the time is agreed upon individually.
- Six aspects are assessed: motivation to study in a Biophysics programme; English language proficiency; the reason behind choosing VU; the correlation between the professional and academic activities and the Biophysics master programme; short presentation on the bachelor thesis or the scientific experience; future plans.
- Each aspect is assessed on a 5-point system. A successful candidate must get no less than 20 points. The interview is organised remotely, on an individually agreed upon time.
