4 things that might surprise you about studying in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia boasts many opportunities for quick career advancement and a high earning potential, particularly in the fields of engineering, construction, business, law, IT and telecommunications.

For example, at PMU the Campus Life Department offers programmes that are designed to enhance the student experience, complementing classroom learning through experiences, group work and activities.  

“I participated in attending conferences, field trips and workshops, and I had a very positive experience,” said Nicole. 

While studying, Kareem volunteered for a project organised by PMU which plants trees near the university to make the city greener.  

“My experience was great because I got to meet new people and provide something useful for our environment,” he said. 

PMU also offers a wide variety of clubs and activities on campus. These are available for all students, but there are separate clubs for men and women.  

“There is a club for each major as well as social and volunteering clubs. I’m currently an executive member in the finance club. During my free time, I play soccer or basketball in the university’s gym,” said Nicole. 

Saudi Arabia is an extremely multicultural location and as an international student you can take advantage of your university’s global connectedness.  

“Student life at PMU can be described as a very friendly environment where everyone is welcomed,” said Kareem.
