This modular programme provides a four-year route to any of the BEng degree programmes currently available in the School of Engineering. The first year (Year Zero) is based at Carmel College, St Helens, about nine miles from the main University precinct. The College offers small class sizes and high standards of academic achievement. The programme, which is moderated by University staff, comprises introductory modules in Physics and Mathematics with students choosing a third optional module from Chemistry or Information Technology. In Year Two, Three and Four, students follow their chosen course from a number of available Engineering programmes.
