The faculty of Science was founded in 2006 (1427 AH). The establishment of the Faculty was based on many factor such as the review carried out by the “Al Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University” for the faculties, departments and disciplines offered to students in order to gain the best for their future and the pursuit their studies to contribute in building the country and to participate effectively in the development plans. Also, the formation of the faculty of science was aimed initially to meet the needs for applied science departments and strengthen the scientific infrastructure in the University.
