In light of the technological development witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the need for qualified national graduates in the field of information systems, the Information Systems Department was established in the year 1419 H at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University. This department has rapidly developed to become one of the Prestigious departments that attract many male and female students. The Department of Information Systems includes a group of scientifically qualified faculty members from among the world's best universities, and they also have academic, research, and practical experiences that qualify them to provide distinguished education. The department awards Bachelor and Master degrees in information systems. The Bachelor program has been accredited internationally by the ABET organization and locally by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, to become one of the first accredited programs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The department offers many specialized courses at the bachelor's and master's levels, such as data mining, information, and cybersecurity, human-computer interaction, and many more.
