Department of Food and Beverage Management was established in February, 1996 as the initiated subject. 50 students for 2-years associate degree program were enrolled in our first spring semester via the individual entrance exam. In February, 1999, we enrolled our first batch students for 2-years associate degree program of night school. To associate with the reformation of our school, we have upgraded to an individual department in August, 2000. At the same time, we enrolled our first batch of two-years bachelor degree program students. 4-years bachelor degree program started in August, 2002, which included 50 students. We aim to cultivate comprehensive talents in food and beverage management. We had each class for 4-years bachelor degree program and 2-years bachelor degree program in night division in August, 2004. Due to the changing of educational policies and entrance channel, we enrolled 2-years associate degree program students in day division. 2-years associate degree program was stopped in year 2008 and focus on 4-years bachelor degree program. We modified the schedule of night school by shifting classes to an earlier time and provide an one-year internship as one of the mandatory courses. We have approximately 800 hundred students in total counting from year 2014 to 2015. There are eight classes of four-year bachelor degree program and two classes of two-year bachelor degree program in day division whereas four classes of four-year bachelor degree program and two classes of two-year bachelor degree program in night division. In addition, we have a class of students from industry-university cooperative project which our department cooperates with the Department of Education. We have 17 classes in total. Due to the low fertility in recent years, we also enroll foreign students. With the diversified degree programs and students, we hope to nurture more professional management talents in domestic service industry.
